LEDs and the environment

There are millions of households in Germany, and there are billions around the world. In each household consumers of electricity still stuck in the sockets of the lamps screwed. One might think at all, let alone calculate how much electricity is wasted here. This could produce only a fraction of the energy as much light.

The current electricity consumption of the developed world it is simply impossible to convert to renewable energy swing. In order to break away from fossil fuels, the energy consumption is also reduced drastically.

Impossible? Wrong! If we count a bit. There are about 20 million households in Germany. Let us just assume that every household are into three 60-watt bulbs that are screwed in the traditional socket. These lamps have a power consumption of 12 million kilowatt. Come to think if you will consume 12 kilowatts of electricity instead of 75,000 million. If you think this is impossible, you are wrong. If a LED lamp replaces each of the three bulbs in each household, electricity consumed will only be between 3 to 4 watts instead of 60 watts.

Of course, a naive statement, they should clarify of course, that we have a huge potential. Street lighting, outdoor lighting or office in the industry there are potential savings in the billions if you would be willing to invest. That would be not only an integral contribution to environmental protection (in contrast to the flowery statements of the energy supplier), but would also allow huge savings in the private, industrial and public funds.
