Saving energy when cooking:

If we only have good cooking habit, we will be able to save on our LPG usage. However, how you will do it without spoiling the sumptuous taste of your food.

• Before cooking and lighting your stove, always make sure that you have all your cooking ingredients ready.

• Make the most of your stove’s flame by using a wide, shallow, copper cooking vessel, and always keep it covered.

• Cook quickly different dish at the same time by using your pressure cooker and separators.

• Use only enough water for cooking so that it will not take too much time to boil, and when the water started boiling, you can now set the flame lower.

• Make sure your gas burners are clean and maintain the blue flame.

• Storing your cooked food in an insulated container will help keep the food warm longer and avoid re-heating.

Saving energy for your water usage:

It is normal for us to have hot water stored for our coffee or tea use just in case we do not have the coffee or tea maker. Having a shower with hot water is also one of the normal things we do especially during cold seasons, early in the morning, or at night before going to bed. A few of the simple to follow energy saving tips are the following:

• Heating your water using your LPG stove uses lesser energy than heating using your electric heater or cordless kettle.

• If you have a hot and cold shower at home, installing water saving showerhead will really help. it will consume less water so does with the energy without compromising the comfortable experience.

• Install your heating devices closer to where you use your water and using thin pipes will deliver warm water faster.

• Make sure that you have insulated your warm water pipes that pass through unheated areas.

• Showering at the shortest time possible will also be of big help in saving energy your heater uses and you can save water as well.

Saving energy on your general household:

• Unplug all your unused appliances like your television set, computer, DVD player, VCD player, Wii, Play Station, and more, because it will save you more energy than keeping them on standby.

• After charging your electronic devices, unplug all your chargers.

• Using an energy saving light will also be of big help.

• Turn off the lights when not in use.

Mentioned above are just a few of the simple things that we can do to save energy and help save the environment. Now, if we are not responsible enough, all those simple tips mentioned above will be meaningless.
